In the third edition, Part I ("Pioneers of A.A.") was left unchanged. Nine of the stories in Part II ("They Stopped in Time") were carried over from the second edition; eight new stories were added. In Part III ("They Lost Nearly All"), eight stories were retained; five new ones were added.
Kira's Comment:
I am amazed each time I read a story again from the back of the big book. The relatability of each story, no matter the personal details and experiences, we have a common disease. Our feelings, behaviors and thoughts can all bring us together.

The Alcoholics Anonymous Book, also known as The Big Book of AA, has come to be known as a basic text for life. Many people have read the messages in this book, discussed them with other like minded individuals, and put the suggestions to use in their own lives.
